The Taft Volunteer Fire Department is always looking to add to our roster. If you would like to add value to our department and help better your community all while learning a new trade, we encourage you to apply and see how you can make a difference. Become part of the change you want to see.

The Taft Volunteer Fire Department services approximately 133 square miles in the rural part of San Patricio County Texas. We respond to approximately 130 calls for service each year. Those calls include brush fires, structure fires, vehicle accidents, smoke and order investigation, gas leaks, and much more.

Our Mission is to protect and serve the citizens of Taft, Taft DE annexed, and the surrounding county residents.

The Taft Fire Department has mutual aid agreements with surrounding departments as well as the county to ensure the safety of our residents as well as the safety of surrounding communities. We rely on our partnerships and cherish the bonds we have made!

Members

Our members are what make the department run. Without them, we would be in a world of hurt, we owe them all a heart felt Thank You!

Apparatus

These trucks are what the department and the city relies on in times of emergency. They may be getting older, but they still got what it takes!

Events and Fundraisers

Our events are to help strengthen our bond with the community and their understanding of fire and the department. Our fundraisers help support the department and our mission!
